For my first internship i stayed in my home town, Deventer. The company I got to be part of for half a year was Smurfit Kappa Zedek.

Smurfit Kappa Zedek is a company that makes displays and packaging from cardboard. I was an intern as a graphic designer, but I also did some construction work, where I eventually created my own carton flower pot  for on your desk.

We also went to the Dutch Design Week and did research. I also worked on mock up's for clients, I got to be at debriefings and I also got to learn how to 3D sketch (which has helped me a lot with school projects).

I had a really good time where I got used to working life. I learned about work process, getting feedback and adapting it to my designs. I learned how to make construction drawing in artios CAD and put them into cinema 4D to make a 3D mock up. Furthermore, I learned some new features about photoshop and illustrator, which made life a lot easier. I also got to learn more about what work life in a big company is like. And I had a lot of lovely new experiences, but of course also some big learning moments about work life.
